Login to Geocities to work on your page:
1. Go to www.geocities.com and log in with your YAHOO ID and password. Note: create a free YAHOO email account first if you do not already have one.
2. Click CREATE AND UPDATE
3. Click YAHOO PAGE BUILDER
4. Click LAUNCH PAGE BUILDER
5. Remember, if you have a pop up blocker, you must hold down the control key.
To work on background: Go to INSERT -> BASICS -> BACKGROUNDS (open up backgrounds and look through the templates)
Inset Text: At the top of your page is a box with a T. Click that button and it will insert a textbox.
Add Pictures:
1. go to www.google.com IMAGES
2. search for the picture you want
3. save the picture in MY PICTURE
4. you MUST save the picture as one word, no punctuation, no spaces
5. Go back to your www.geocities.com page
6. Go to INSERT -> BASICS -> Pictures
7. Go to UPLOAD picture
8. Browse and find your picture in MY PICTURES
9. Upload the file
10. After the picture has successfully uploaded, you may insert it by
11. Go to INSERT -> BASICS -> Pictures -> USER FILES
12. Then insert your picture
To link to other web pages:
1. Highlight the text you would like to link
2. Go to the top of your page and find the LINK bottom
3. Type in the link
To link to other pages of yours (index, page2, page3, page4, etc.)
1. Highlight the text you would like to link
2. Go to the top of your page and find the LINK bottom -> Double click on the WEB URL à
3. Click My Pages -> Choose
4. Then choose the page you would like to link it to
